casa sol has such exquisite views, too bad they are completely ruined by the toxic smoke from garbage burning every night. Also, the room was quite lovely, but the incessant humming noise from the lobby fan was unbearable. I expected a complimentary drink or upgrade for my troubles but received nothing. almost good enough for a positive review, but just couldn’t.

The staff, especially Isaac and Antonio, made me feel very welcome and went out of their way to help organize activities. A delicious breakfast was included each day, with fresh pastries that set a nice tone for the morning. Only downside was the limited evening dining options at the hotel. Thankfully, there’s a decent place right next door. The climb up the stairs to the room was quite a workout, so be prepared for that. But the amazing ocean views from my balcony made it worth every step.
